Our high school completion program offers students an alternative to the traditional classroom, with smaller class sizes, individualized programs of study, and one-on-one tutoring.
Students complete the course requirements for their diploma or GED. All core classes are taken on Edmentum and are aligned with Common Core Curriculum standards. Edmentum is an online learning program used by Fennville Alternative Education to help students earn high school credits, recover missed credits, and stay on track for graduation. It provides standards-based lessons, instructional videos, practice activities, quizzes, and tests that students complete at their own pace with support from their teachers.
Students are expected to:
-
Complete lessons and assignments independently.
-
Work consistently each day to make steady progress.
-
Ask teachers for help when they have questions or need extra support.
-
Demonstrate their own learning by completing all work honestly.
Edmentum allows students to learn at a pace that fits their individual needs while giving teachers the ability to monitor progress, provide feedback, and offer additional instruction when needed. The goal is to help every student successfully complete courses, build confidence, and move toward graduation.
Qualified students have the opportunity to attend the Allegan County Tech Center as well.
